June 10 - July 4th, 2011. (Closed on Mondays) The Del Mar Fair started this weekend and runs through July 4th. Today we went to the San Diego County Fair at the Del Mar Fair grounds, just north of La Jolla in San Diego, and the kids had a great time. There was so much to do and see. We went to the Kiddie Land rides inside the horse track on the East side of the Fairgrounds. That's where the smaller rides are for little kids. Be sure to check the online calendar for events and activities as there is something different every day and weekend. Costco has discount ticket packages that include 4 admissions, parking, 4 drink tickets (with food purchase) and 50 ride coupons. Kiddieland rides are 3-4 tickets each and Fun Zone are 4-6 tickets. For an additional cost you can go in pony rides, bungee trampolines, sling shot and other things. Over all this was a great family day.
